[ They're at the Allstars Coffee and... Seodore looks at the coffee cup. ]

Maybe they can't take themselves seriously...? Oh, by the way, did you see that Maestro kicked the case open for the alcohol in duty free?

[ he's also kind of grinning though because it's funny. ]

I think I'd rather it be that way than someone too serious. Makes it a little easier. [ for what? but he nods. ] I snagged a few bottles yesterday. It might not last long, but it's something.

You're going to drink it all or share with the others? There are quite a few people wanting to drink, I've seen.

[ The amount of people who complained at Maestro about it... ]

I mean probably not all of it? But I'd be a bad bartender if I just gave away the bottles and lost my stock all over again. I'm holding onto as much as I can until we know where the next round might come from.

[ aside from a few drinks for himself, apparently. ]

But I'm open to requests.

Hm... How about a limoncello? I haven't had that in a while.

[ I don't know where you would get lemon and sugar but. ]

[ hello, we can start at claire's because jonas is here and he seems to be reading the little sign with increasing skepticism, eyebrows lifting higher and higher. as seodore approaches though, he turns his head and gestures with a little wave, a flash of some kind of inky mark on the back of his hand. ]

Kinda feels like conflicting interests here between the drug deals and the criminal investigations, don't you think?

[refractures]

[ He's curious as to what's on the back of his hand, but then his attention is pulled elsewhere to the little sign. ]

A company can do separate things, but I do admit that trying to catch the criminal activity they themselves aided in would be really funny.

[ In the meantime, Seodore doesn't seem to realize there's something written on his forehead, but it's largely covered by his hair. ]

[ sir your forehead... ]

It just like. It feels like it's counterproductive? What's the point? [ ... ] And then you add something normal like dogwalking and I'm just like "okay, is it dogwalking or is it a cover for something else and we're calling it dogwalking?"

[ seodore will come to realize that sometimes jonas just rambles. ]

[ That's fine, because he likes hearing ramblings like this and it's nice that he's not the yapper for once. ]

I'm not sure what you could be using "dogwalking" as a euphemism for though.

[ No, he knows. They're just all terrible and he'd rather not bring it up. ]

Though it also means that the company is powerful enough to allocate all those resources into those different sectors. Claire's sure is different than I remember it to be...

[ the look he gives him kind of says he does, actually, know what it could be used for and he refuses to acknowledge it. so instead he laughs to himself. whatever. we can go inside and browse for funsies. ]

Hey, I don't know about you, but preteen girls are some of the scariest people in the world. I would believe Claire's is just a front for a crime syndicate or something where they're plotting to overthrow the world one clip-in extension at a time. [ ... ] But even with that it almost feels kind of normal seeing one here.

[ despite everything, eventually jonas is back out on the flight deck and burning through a cigarette, sitting on the ground with his back to the runway and scrolling through his phone. he's left the door open to the main terminal itself, so when he catches movement out of the corner of his eye he glances up and looks at seodore. ]

And now we have a twelve-hour break before the next round of insanity.

[refractures]

We sure do.

[ He seems a little off. Not as grinny. He is also smoking like a fuckin chimney despite his reserves running extremely low. ]

[ Despute Jonas having his back to the runway. ]

[sixam]

Oh yeah, I love looking down on the sight of bloodshed. [ wry. but he does glance over his shoulder to look again. ]

... without the flights out, this really is our only means of being outside. And I don't know about you, but sometimes it's really kinda stifling in there.

[refractures]

Not used to being inside for a long time?

[ Seodore sits near Jonas. ]

Sounds like you should spend your time in other outdoor areas whenever you can, or live in the simulation room.

[sixam]

[ welcome to the ground. ]

Not these days, no. I like the option to go outside. Living in the simulation room's no better than being trapped somewhere else, but I was out in the other areas as much as I could, I guess. Kinda sucks the flights stopped on Thursday night, but hopefully we get some new ones tomorrow.

[ Sometimes people don't deserve to be hot women when the opportunity arises.

also he's normal and not a clown, but this means he's blinking in surprise for a second. ]

Anything, of course~ What matters is that you make your own fun, right?

While I don't disagree with that, kinda feels like everybody's definition of "fun" is gonna be a little different don't you think? What I might find fun might be different than what you're thinking.

[ he's lingering around the first aid center because so many of you fucks went on one of these things, but it does mean it's a little easier to check on seodore, too. so he's quiet, frowning in thought as he looks him over. ]

... hanging in there? [ lightly, and conversationally, just to gauge how he's feeling. ]

no i'm kidding. After Seo recovered enough, he looks over at Jonas when he asks. ]

At least you're honest about it. [ which he would prefer over someone trying to power through. ] ... can I get you anything to help? I mean I don't know what could help right now, but... anything.

[ His voice trails off. ]

You should probably see Kazuki instead. And if you saw him already, stay by him more. He almost lost a hand, actually, but he was really cool and strong. He and Kaworu were such a good team...

[sixam]

[ a wry smile. ]

Like I'm letting that dumbass out of my sight for a while. But Alex is with him right now, it's okay. Besides, I'm checking on you right now. Is that a crime?

[ he's definitely going to give kazuki hell later for almost losing a hand though, thanks seo. and kaworu's on his list, too. ]
