I talked to him after the show and it sounds a lot like what I went through in the toy scenario. After all, all it takes for murder is the belief that you're correct, even if it's just for a moment.

In that scenario, we were all taking care of children who wanted an extremely limited edition toy. Chihiro wanted to make his kid happy no matter what, even though he was by himself. Welt wanted the same for his four children and wife. And I...

[ There's some sort of bitterness. ]

... had to raise seven children, so I wanted to get the toys to scalp them on the market. And to me, at that time, it was the most important thing that I do--not for the sake of the kids I had, but from the dying words of my dead husband.

Also seven? Children??? Even if Astolfo is originally from a time where that wasn't unheard of, it still feels like so much! ]

We did. I think there were only around thirty of them and there was an extremely long line of people waiting to get into the store to buy them. Hell broke loose. People were killing each other, but we mostly worked together... until I betrayed them at the cash register and killed Welt for his toys for a wish that never existed.

My dead husband's wish was that I raise the kids well and I couldn't do that without an obscene amount of money, which I could achieve by price gouging the toys. I had eight and Welt's would have made them ten.

... Obviously, that dying wish wasn't real. I only realized that when I delivered the blow.

It's irrational. It doesn't make sense. Sometimes I wish I could just erase my feelings. It would make everything so much easier.

Astolfo can understand the control aspect, but they are the more unreasonable and senseless servant out there. He doesn't usually hold on to feelings of regret or guilt.

Seo is different. It seems to weighing on him with what has happened here with whatever else that's been pressing on him. This is all way beyond him though. So he'll just keep on hugging him. Maybe it'll help lighten it a little or make him feel something different? ]

It's not irrational. You feel how you feel and it'll probably take a while to change that.
